Synopsis

Sharon Stevens is a hairdresser in a small Kentucky town – brash, big-hearted, and recently untethered by her own personal unravelling. When she walks into a diner and overhears a family's desperate story, she decides, without hesitation, to help.

Michelle Schmitt's daughter Ashley needs a liver transplant. The waitlist is long, the winter is brutal, and the family is running out of road. What follows is a story of community, stubbornness, and what ordinary people are capable of when they refuse to accept the limits of what's possible.

Directed by Jon Gunn and starring Hilary Swank and Alan Ritchson, Ordinary Angels is based on a true story that became a cause for an entire community – and then a film.
