Synopsis

Highwater documents the Triple Crown of Surfing, the annual series of three contests held on the North Shore of Oahu, following the world’s top surfers as they take on the legendary waves of Hawaii’s most demanding stretch of coastline. Directed by Dana Brown — son of Endless Summer director Bruce Brown — the film combines competition footage with a broader meditation on the ocean and its future.
